Hi, I’m Catie Mae!

I’m a teacher by day and furniture flipper by night! I’m also a mama of two and married to an awesome fella, a.k.a. Mister Mae Revivals! Back in 2013, I was faced with the challenge of furnishing my apartment on a first year teacher’s salary. I thrifted a $40 dresser, bought a sample size of white paint, and stumbled my way through my first furniture flip. Despite many mistakes, I fell in love with the process.

After moving into our first rental home, I proudly furnished every room with my custom pieces. But I wasn’t ready to stop flipping furniture. So my husband and father-in-law built me a workshop in our garage... and that was the beginning of Miss Mae Revivals.

Flipping thrifted pieces and curbside finds helped to supplement my teaching income. I eventually began taking on custom orders and transformed people’s outdated bedroom sets, family heirlooms, and mass-produced dressers. In 2017, after giving birth to our first baby, I found myself struggling with postpartum depression. Furniture flipping became my therapy. It wasn’t until our son turned one, that I realized how important my little business was for my mental health.

In 2020, we welcomed a baby girl to our family. While juggling parenting and virtual teaching during a global pandemic, I once again found myself grateful for the ability to disconnect from the craziness of the world while flipping furniture in my workshop.

Today, as I share my passion for furniture flipping with you, I am so grateful for everything this hobby has given me. Whether you’re here to flip for profit, transform a family heirloom, or update your old bedroom set, I’m so honored to help you on your journey.

I’m so happy you’re here!
